Statement on COVID-19

On behalf of the APFCB 2022 Organising Committee we wish to advise that we are working full time on preparations for APFCB 2022 in Sydney and our plans for the upcoming Congress remain in place.

The Congress Organising Committee are taking advice from the local and national Health Authorities in regards to COVID-19 and are optimistic that Sydney continues to be a safe place to hold the Congress. The Congress Organising Committee is also paying close attention to new developments with the novel Coronavirus, COVID-19, and we are following the guidance of the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Australian Government Department of Health.

We are also in communication with the venue and our suppliers to ensure that all parties are taking the necessary precautions. The venue, ICC Sydney is undertaking the same steps and precautions as recommended to the wider community to ensure a safe environment at all of their events and for guests. In line with guidance, they have put in place comprehensive hygiene measures, including placing hand sanitisers around the venue and sterilising surfaces.

Should the situation change, the APFCB will advise all delegates, exhibitors and partners through email communication and the website. Further information regarding COVID-19 can be found on the World Health Organization site, including daily updates, tips on travel and ways to say healthy.

On behalf of the APFCB Organising Committee we look forward to welcoming you to Sydney and sharing with you what will be a truly unique Australian experience and a time to re-appreciate the collegiality of our profession.
